To commemorate both the upcoming launch of the seventh-generation version of the Corvette, as well as its 60th anniversary of the iconic sports car, Chevrolet has introduced the Corvette Premiere Edition to the world. The launch coincided with the launch party that was held at the legendary Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant, where it will also be produced.
All of the Premiere Editions will be painted Laguna Blue Tintcoat, complemented by the Brownstone suede interior…suede and carbon fiber interior trim packages will be offered as well. In addition to the unique exterior and interior combination, a variety of design accessories featuring the “stinger” and “Stingray” logos will be available as well.
On the performance front, there hasn’t been any mention of upgrades to the 6.2L 450 horsepower V8, although the Z51 Performance Package with Magnetic Ride Control returns, as well as a variable-tuned performance exhaust system.
The Corvette Premiere Edition will also come with a unique vehicle identification number, as well as a dash plaque. Production should start soon, with limited examples (only 500) being available at the same time as the launch of the “regular” Stingray coupe…
