No, this isn’t Casper masquerading around as someone else, but rather one of the most iconic automakers in the world be subjected to a recall. Rolls-Royce is recalling a whooping 10 Ghosts that were put together with unicorn dust and magic from March 27, 2012, through July 13, 2012. Apparently even the luxury British automaker is suspect to the same type of recall as lowly automakers such as Toyota are.
The baby Rollers came shod with 20-inch wheels and tires (or as they say in England, “tyres”, as the Queen would have it), but the label that states the tire information has it incorrectly at 19-inch tires. Not a major deal, but it puts them out of compliance with requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, “Tire Selection and Rims”.
Since all of the registered owners have already received the correct labels to place on their Ghost, presumably delivered by a private plane, there will not be a formal recall notice issued out. Perhaps this will give Jeeves something to do in the afternoon…
