Want Better-Looking Skin All The Time? How About Nine Ways To Prevent Breakouts, Pimples, and Other Skin Irritations?

We all want clear, great-looking skin. Hence not only why you are here, but why I created this site in the first place.

If you even have a couple of pimples, all you want to do is get rid of it…sort of like being in jail. All you want to do is get out. It’s the foremost thing on your mind. Now, there are many products out there that work well in treating the problem now, but just like any problem that you may have, as the saying goes; “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. This cliche still exists because it is true.

The long-term solution to having less breakouts is to have healthy skin, and these natural methods to getting rid of acne will also leave your skin healthier and more vibrant. That…is the real benefit! So with that, here goes…you may recognise some of it from an earlier post. It bears repeating:

Drink plenty of water. This will have a great effect on your whole body, not just your skin. Keeping your body hydrated will help keep your skin hydrated.

Always drink water a little while before bed. You will be laying in bed for around eight hours and your body starts to become dehydrated.

Increase your zinc intake by eating more green leafy vegetables or taking a vitamin supplement. Zinc deficiency can cause breakouts. Vitamin E is also important for skin health.

Fruit juices are great because they are full of antioxidants which are great, not only for your overall health, and will also benefit your skin. The antioxidants in some drinks can actually help fight the bacteria that causes acne.

About a half hour before bathing, apply a natural skin treatment to help get rid of acne. A good mixture is a bit of rose water, honey, and tomato pulp mixed together to make a paste and applied to the skin. Leave it on for about 20-30 minutes and then wash it off.

Try to avoid and manage your stress. Stress is a huge cause of acne. Proper exercise, especially things like yoga, can help with that.

Keep your hair out of your face and off of your skin. The oils and dirt from your hair can clog your pores, causing more pimples.

Avoid heavy make-up. Natural make-up products are better for your skin. During a breakout you should avoid make-up even more. If you are in the middle of a breakup, consider not wearing make-up while at home or in a situation where you don’t need it.

Use only oil-free products. Anything that is safe for sensitive skin, re: hypoallergenic, and/or does not contain any fragrances is generally a safe bet.

Nobody I know likes having acne, and I can imagine it’s the same way for you and anyone else that you know. Feel free to share these nine tips, that can keep acne at bay, meaning less of those embarrassing breakouts and/or pimples (sometimes you can just get red blotches, or worse, cystic acne that sometimes doesn’t produce a head). The best part is, each of these things will put you on the road to healthier skin, with will help prevent future breakouts and leave your skin having a nice, healthy glow.
